Pools can be located wherever Council permission can be obtained. But, one important factor to think about is orientation. Consider the following:

Sun – does the sun shine on the pool and areas intended for sunbathing?
Shade – are there shady spots to escape the sun when it gets too hot? Does it cover the pool so much that it stops it naturally warming up?
Wind – will a windbreak be necessary?
Vegetation – are there trees and shrubs close to the pool area that will shed leaves and insects?
Safety – can the pool be easily supervised from the house?
